All-NBA Team Picks

I can’t believe another regular season is nearly in the books. After tonight, Kobe Bryant will retire, the Minnesota Timberwolves will continue their rebuilding process, and the Chicago Bulls will search for an identity. It’s been a wild and wacky ride this season, but it’s time for me to hand out my awards starting with my All-NBA teams

Here we go

First Team All-NBA

G — Steph Curry: 29.9 pts, 6.7 ast, 5.5 reb, 2.1 stl, 34.2 min

G — Russell Westbrook: 23.5 pts, 10.4 ast, 7.8 reb, 2 stl, 34.4 min

F — Kawhi Leonard: 21.2 pts, 6.8 reb, 2.6 ast, 1.8 stl, 1 blk, 33.1 min

F — LeBron James: 25.3 pts, 7.4 reb, 6.8 ast, 1.4 stl, 35.6 min

C — Karl-Anthony Towns: 18.2 pts, 10.4 reb, 2 ast, 1.7 blk, 32 min

The only pick that needs explaining is the Lopez pick. Look, he has the most diverse game of all the centers worthy of All-NBA First Team. In my opinion, DeMarcus Cousins doesn’t deserve any honor because he acts entitled. I don’t care about what he did this season, he shut it down at the end of the season, and led the league in technical fouls if I’m not mistaken. While the Brooklyn Nets are awful, I believe this to be an individual honor, and Lopez is a center I would take on my team any day.

Second Team All-NBA

G — Chris Paul: 19.5 pts, 10, ast, 4.2 reb, 2.1 stl, 32.7 min

G — Kyle Lowry: 21.2 pts, 6.4 ast, 4.7 reb, 2.1 stl, 37 min

F — Kevin Durant: 28.2 pts, 8.2 reb, 5 ast, 1 stl, 35.8 min

F — Draymond Green: 14 pts, 9.5 reb, 7.4 ast, 1.5 stl, 34.7 min

C — Andre Drummond: 16.2 pts, 14.8 reb, 1.5 stl, 1.4 blk, 32.9 min

Third Team All-NBA

G — Isaiah Thomas: 22.2 pts, 6.2 ast, 3 reb, 1.1 stl, 32.2 min

G — James Harden: 28.9 pts, 7.5 ast, 6.1 reb, 1.7 stl, 38.2 min

F — Paul George: 23.1 pts, 7 reb, 4.1 ast, 1.9 stl, 34.8 min

F — LaMarcus Aldridge: 18 pts, 8.5 reb, 1.1 blk, 30.6 min

C — Brook Lopez: 20.6 pts, 7.8 reb, 1.7 blk, 33.7 min

The only pick that needs explaining is the Lopez pick. Look, he has the most diverse game of all the centers worthy of an All-NBA Team spot.
